Alfred Vogel (1902 – 1996) was one of the Swiss pioneers of naturopathy. His book «Der kleine Doktor» shows how herbal medicine and natural therapy can maintain and restore health through prevention and care. Since 1952 it got translated into 12 languages, has sold several million copies and proven its worth.

For the cover design, my idea was to display the importance of his work while simplifying the long and meaningful history behind the book and reducing its visual components to the minimum. The result is what you see here – a bright design with a botanical touch.

Next to the book cover, I also had the pleasure of drawing the 40 medical herb & flower illustrations from its content.
